Tape Under hood

All,

I am putting things back together, and I need some help on the "tape" under the hood.

The tape Kubota describes as "Soft Tape Upper and Sides" makes sense as this is where the hood sits on the fuel tank, and a cushion is needed.

But what are the other "tape" areas that Kubota simply describes as "Tape".

Is this tape just a buffer between possible metal contact?

Any help is appreciated.

Betcha foam camper tape would be a reasonable approximation...

I used psa foam weather stripping on my hood - same configuration as yours.

PSA = Pressure Sensitive Adhesive you cut to fit, remove the backer and press into place.
