I went out for a bit just to blow the stink off, you know cant do anything but you just have to move so you know your alive. So I took a drive, no place special, stopped at subways, always a good time.
Any way I was munching on my samich, and the truck pulls in to the dealer.
I don't want to go in there no no no please no,,,,, Well since Im here I might as well look around and kick some tires as it were, I aint buyin nuttin nope Im not!

Sitting on the floor, right in the middle of the floor, with the sun shining brightly on the orange paint, glowing like a sign for above was a B2601 :D. Im starting to get weak in the knees the showroom is beginning to spin, there she was in all of her orange glory,,,,, BH, MMM, FEL, R4's and a canape. And I swear there was a come hither look on her grill,, sit on me big boy, caress my knobs and levers, feel how my seat feels. OMG GET ME OUT OF HERE :eek:. This too can be yours for only 29,556.
Please guys help me down before I really do something stupid!

Don't forget winter's coming! You need one with front snow blower and cab. :D

Afraid I won't be a good influence :D

Stopped today at local Kubota dealer that also services Ingersolls to pick up a belt for mower deck since leaf season is coming up, and on my way to get checkbook, guy that I know pulls into the parking lot, and I know he has Deere tractors, so I kidded him "these are the wrong color! Well as long as you're here go try out an L3560". Went back inside and a salesman (that I also know) was sitting at a desk, so I said Go show that guy an L3560... but by the time I came out he was on a 4701..don't know what he really came for. Owns a big Chev dealership so I think he'd appreciate the 60 series features.

Skeets, I will talk you up not down. If you are considering getting a new tractor, go for the B2650 for the better seat and 3pt hitch. Of course while you are at it, a cab with heat, ac, and radio will keep you going in all kinds of weather.

Maybe at the next meeting have a discussion on waxing tractors.

This afternoon I washed my L4240 and wiped it off. Then I found a container of Mother's California Gold Carnauba Wax. Don't know if it's any good or not, but I put some on the fenders, hood, wheels. Made it look better, but that stuff smells pretty good!

I just have to make sure I don't get that OCD stuff and have to keep doing it.

I cant see myself in a new tractor.Yet.
A few things to pay off first then maybe.
Loader, mower and a cab.
Then all of Paul and Kathy’s accessiries. Man has some great imagination- or vision.

IT's like going to the gambling places:

Set yourself a limit. Carry ONLY that limit into the game. Don't go back for more when it's gone.

For me, $8K is a "limit" for toys. Paying machines have exceptions....

Keeps me out of the salesman's hair.....

Back away slowly and do not make eye contact! Hope it works better for you than it did for me. After I sat on my L3901, it was all over.

Hahaha Skeets you are diagnosed!!! Just like all of us here.

I don’t even remember the FIRST Big Orange I sat on, but I do remember the first L3560 I sat on. And it’s in my barn now. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Brother Skeets,

Dunno if this will help but... A story about my neighbor.

He bought a Cheap Chinese tractor. It was cheap. But, it was Chinese.

One day the 4WD quit working. A tractor with a FEL and RWD doesn't work on gravel. He ordered replacement parts for his Chinese tractor. The parts guy said, "No problem! We'll have a brand new transfer case on the way!"

Five weeks later, the "new" transfer case showed up and low and behold, it was used! And missing one Chinese gear tooth! So he called and they said, "We don't know HOW that could have happened! We'll get you a REAL new on in the mail ASAP!" That was three weeks ago.

In the meantime, his new L-3901 was delivered yesterday. $21k plus tax with an FEL, roof, and box scraper. All shiny and new. And the transfer case has all its teeth.

He has a tractor mechanic who said he'll get the old Chinese tractor running and my neighbor will take it up to his cabin in the mountains to clear brush.

Meanwhile, at home, his new Kubota will live happily ever after.

(Once he gets the new garage for it built.)

:)
