T2290 Main Belt Replacement

I did my main drive belt (engine to rear axle hydro) today and replaced the idler pulleys on my T2290KWT lawn tractor and what a bit@h of job to do for a belt replacement. Machine has 65 hours on it and the idler pulley seized causing damage to the belt.

Engine must be removed, steering shaft/gear must be removed and sheet metal must be removed....... This was a five hour job.

TIP! While you have everything apart, REPLACE ALL 3 idler pulleys and order everything in advance so you have it on hand.........You will thank me later!

BTW! Despite this one problem I like the machine.

I never washed it but the previous owner may have. I purchased this as a used machine from a dealer with a Kubota warranty last October with 55 hours on the clock and I always use the back pack blower to blow out the clippings after each use.
I would have had the Kubota dealer do this job under warranty but ALL my local dealers are backed up 4 weeks....... And that is just to look at it so I did the job myself.
