I was mowing yesterday and all of a sudden my blade had very minimal power. The blades seem to be moving at a high speed, but if I mow just a small amount of grass my blades have a strain and stop turning. Once I raise the deck the blades slowly gain speed. Any idea what my problem may be. I did check under the deck to make sure nothing is wrapped around blades and I moved the blades by hand with no resistance.

Not familiar with the T1760 but if it has a drive belt is it possible that it is not tight enough, If the belt is tight is is possible you have sheared a shaft key or a shear pin.

Do the blades move easily by hand with no resistance when they are engaged *****always being extremely careful that the engine is disable so that it will not start while you are turning the blades. If the blades still turn easily when engaged then it is a simple matter of elimination by looking to see where the slipping is occurring.

I just looked at the belt and it does bounce around. I never payed attention before to know if the bouncing around is more then normal or not. This may be a good place to start. Thanks.

It always nice when it turns out to be a simple problem with an easy(and inexpensive) fix.
