Hey all, new to these forums. thanks for having such a great forum. Anyways, just bought a used T1600 with 720 hours. Did oil, lbed, new battery, and starts with no issues. Was doing a little mowing with it, and noticed that all the sudden it started vibrating hard. Thought it was the deck, so shut it off and it was still harsh. lowered the rpms and drove to the shade. seems like nothing let go in the engine, but the engine is shaking on full rpm, and even lower rpms too. maybe a motor mount? both cylinders seem to be hitting. aint got a clue. Any help would be awesome.

While that motor is mounted on rubber mounts, the vibration is probably from a bad belt on the PTO or a Bad U-joint on the HST input, check both out, betting on the belt because it sounds like it with it happening suddenly!

A bad belt is my vote too, a chunk lets go and starts thumping.
Wouldnt a failing u jont have some rattling associated with it?
