Hi All
I have a SVL 75 skid steer tha feels stuck in Float mode
The boom won't lift yet whe.n you move the the joy stick you can hear oil flow in the up and down directions.
You can induce float mode with the verification symbol working and the machine exiting the mode as it should
Feels like what ever spool or solenoid that controls this is stuck in the open position.
I have no idea which valve block controls this...
machine has 1200 hours on it and. Is well maintained
Thanks in advance Phil

Get the WSM for it, as that will help diagnose that issue.
It could be that you have broken a lift cylinder?

Hey thanks for that... yes I suppose a blown ram seal could cause an internal bypass which is what I feel is happening.
I have had that before on older "Bobcat" models and they tend to get partial lift and fail under load.
This has completely zero lift and happened instantaneously though.
Visited the dealer today for some service parts and they offered some suggestions will see how their suggestions go. And post any solutions
Thanks again

I assume your machine has electric over hydraulic joystick consider you might have a microswitch or wiring issue
The Kubota SVLs do not have electric over hydraulic joysticks, they have manually operated pilot controls.

Hi all
Just wanted to let you know that we have solved this problem
Machine wast taken to the dealer win was unable to rectify so we brought the machine back. We strippped the float solenoid valve off the valve body and checked the operation. This electric valve has a small piston that pushes a spring loaded mini spool. I found this to be tight I pulled it out, cleaned and inspected. Tried it in multiple positions perhaps something small swarf et had jammed it up. I replaced the solenoid and o ring.

checked operation all ok.... ...
Solenoid $1000 aud WTF...
hope this helps someone else

Congratulations - seems pretty simple.

So much so I think I would be looking for a new source for dealer service.....
