Hey guys I have a Kubota D600 that I am installing into a project. It could use a little bit more pep. Has anyone used a smog pump on a engine before as a supercharger? Or is turbocharged the better way to go? It would be the AMR300 smog vs the RHB-31 Turbocharger.

I personally would do both!
That would kick it, the problem your going to have is getting enough fuel to it!

But if you wanna do just the supercharger I would go with the AMR500, as it's a better match for the cc of the engine.

Im thinking both would blow the motor to pieces lol. I like the idea of the supercharger and the instant power. But the turbo sounds so much better lol

the turbo will be more efficient, blower will soak more power then it would make, the turbo with good clean piping will not rob any power, only give. also the turbo will have adjustable boost pressure to keep power in check. I have run a D600 on a grasshopper mower at 3psi with a charge air cooler for about a 1000 hours with no issue. stock fuel system made enough power to spin a 72" deck in very thick horse pastures and keep EGT's in the 1250-1300 range all day long.

Thats what one of my D600s is out of is a grasshopper 718D. Then the newest one I got is out of a Jacobsen reel mower. This is the one going into the new golf cart.

I have a Grasshopper 2015 325D (kubota D902) that I turbo charged, along with turning up the fuel and adding a SS straight pipe. It’s gated at 10PSI and will climb well over 1000EGT if you let it, but cuts very heavy tall grass while not killing the power….plus it sounds amazing! I have roughly 600HRs in the set-up with no issues. Mower has 1150 hrs on it total. Has been an amazing machine with little to no cost of ownership (minus routine maintenance, and my dimbass ideas!)

That’s fantastic! My Turbocharged L2501 has been super reliable and running like a beast!

Likewise, I turned up the fuel a bit and this 25HP tractor is now producing a dyno proven 44.1 HP and 35 PTO HP. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Wow Mike, that’s a good looking kit sir!! Piping looks incredible, nice job. What turbo are you running if you don’t mind sharing. I tried 3 different ones in total, using cheap chineasium things untill I found what I wanted. Ended up with a
MHI TD025, the Chinese one made it about 100 hours, so far so good on the real one! Thanks in advance.

Thank you!

After just a couple minor changes….it’s looking even better now!

We’re using a brand new Kubota MHI TD025 Turbocharger. There are less expensive options but, reliability and longevity is our goal.
