Good Day,

I'm looking for a windshield sunvisor for my L6060. I've searched, but no luck. Can't believe there's nothing out there.
Any ideas or links out there? Thanks, Dave

can you make one? what part of the cab will the hinge screw to? Ceiling panel? Or cab roof?

I would think a small piece of Luan (5mm) could be cut to size and then hinged.

I would prefer to buy one. If need be, I could make one. I guess that it would attach to the roof above the windshield if possible.

crazy thought - go to nearest auto junk yard.... find the one you wish. Cannot cost that much I would not imagine.

Since I'm located in a small fly-in community in the Arctic. Our local parts store is the town dump. I'll check it out. and maybe jury-rig something. Thanks

Dave, I just installed a visor on my 4330. Mine has a Curtis cab though.
Just go to Amazon and search for automobile visors. You will find a ton of styles and options.

I will say though, making a mounting bracket to attach to the cab was the hardest part. I probably spent 3 hours drilling cutting and bending to get it to fit properly but it definitely is worth the effort. I bought one with the vanity mirror which is nice.

Get one from an old school bus. They used to have a mounting bracket on each end and the visors are generously sized.

I have a brand new l6060 and I am looking for a wide foldable tinted visor and it’s kind of crazy that not much is available. I don’t want to disturb my cab so if I can find one I plan on using high quality suction cups. I want something that is factory made with good trim around it. Anyone have any better idea’s than repurposed junk yard stuff and cutting plexiglas ? I did find this Ram but I don’t think it’s wide enough.

Yep! My MX6000 doesn't have a sun visor either, but my M6060 does. The visor in the M6060 is secured at both ends to the headliner only, so if you could find a factory visor of the right size it would be possible to do something similar. The M6060 visor is 26" wide! The problem I'd have with the MX though is the location of two vents that would be blocked when the visor was in the up position.

You might have to do some measuring, but you should be able to find visors at a car wreck lot. Most attach with two simple screws. I think a truck size would probably work.

Another option for something larger is a RV visor. Of course, there are probably tractor models.

Not quite apples to apples, but my FJ has two visors for both front seats……so on either side in the front seats, as an example the driver has one for the side window and one for the front window…it’s really convenien having full coverage at the A pillar…way better than A car / truck that just has the one that swings. If I had high roller money (cabbed tractor 😉),if adding visors I’d be think about sides / front

Out of interest, if there's no sun visor in an L6060 or MX6000, but there is in an M6060, can we assume that no cabbed tractor below the M series has a visor? Based on how the M6060 is mounted, it'd be challenging to find a visor that secures at both ends. Most are able to pivot and so are mounted on one end only. I suppose a clip could be mounted to the headliner to secure one end. An interesting project for sure and I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

I have looked at Bota’s website many times and haven’t been able to locate Any tinted visors period! I found some on Etsy that may work but they are only 16” x6” ! I may have to purchase two but I’m waiting to find out if they have hinges - not sure by the pics !

So I’m thinking that two of the Ram mounts I showed above will make 24” and they can swing 90 % to both side windows for at least 12” of protection on the sides! I’m not concerned about the A/C vents because these with tilt up and down ! I’m still thinking about it

Can you post a photo of the finished installation?
