Ordered the above for my L3130. They shipped immediately, arrived a couple day later.

The Kit came complete and with good instructions. I spent 30-40 minutes at my workbench reading through things and pre-assembling all of the fittings. You'll need a 7/8", 1" & 1 & 1/16th" wrenches. I'd suggest doing this step first.

At the tractor and it was a few minutes to install the valve and hook into the hydraulics... no problems there.

My challenge was the wiring. The wiring harness from the stick and valve is considerable and I don't see a great place to tuck it all away. I zip tied it all together and tucked it up under the housing for the loader stick. Clearly not factory but I'm not sure how else it can be done. It's acceptable and I assume all kits will face the same challenge.

Now to get a hot wire and ground? The instruction had me hooking directly to the battery, I want it switched on with the ignition. I looked behind the fuse panel and at the rear lights. Kubota does a great job of tucking all the wiring away and securing it out of sight. I was not comfortable tearing things apart to find an entry point. I ended up going to the battery and found a nice path following the existing wiring through the engine compartment. The supplied blade fuse holder looked weak so I replaced it with an HD one I had on hand.

Its now hot all of the time ( I pulled the fuse ). I have ordered an in-line switch for the line. This will be my solution vs wiring it in post ignition unless I can figure out a good way in.

Up front, the mounting bracket did not fit anywhere on my cross bar. They did tell me at order modification would be necessary and they were correct. I'll have to figure this out ( looking at options ). Summit has a u-bolt option which should work.

All in all, I'm pleased and the install is fairly simple if you have a good idea / system for wiring in.

My grapple is being delivered any day now.

I bought a similar kit for my L3301 and ran the wiring over to the tractor’s fuse panel over near where my left foot is. I actually want to be able to actuate the valves with the tractor off so I could take the pressure off for ease in reconnecting the hydraulic quick disconnects later. Bird dogger on here has a really nice write up on here on how he went about things.
I used one of these off Amazon to add it to my panel easily:
Nilight Fuse Holder Add-a-circuit Fuse TAP Adapter Mini ATM APM Blade Fuse Holder-10 Pack , 2 years Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0742BZXC2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_MPx9SY6Q1TqNY.

I used this stuff to carry the wires over without getting rubbed on:
American Terminal Wire Loom Black 100' Feet 3/8" Split Tubing Hose Cover Auto Home Marine https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J7RD6Z...abc_66ABXGSXJE8DCS6J0APQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I love that plug into the fuse panel. What did you do about the fuse cover? I'm guessing it the stock one won't fit after this in inserted.

I think you will be real pleased with the MTL grapple. I've had mine for 3 years and it does everything I need it for with no problems, bent steel or anything else.

A couple of things I modified are a method to secure the lock levers on the quick hitch, and a standoff for the hoses to keep them out of the way.

Although for different purposes I wanted to have 'key switched' fused power available. I used a heavy duty common 12v sealed relay similar to this RELAY and mounted inside a fender. The coil is connected to the aux light circuit so it pulls in whenever the key is on.
Then I ran a 12ga wire back from the battery (fused at the battery) to the common of the relay contacts. The normally open side is connected to feed a small fuse block.
The result is I have several switched circuits available, each fused separately.

I just trimmed it as needed with diagonal cutters.

Like ctfr, I added a couple of 12vdc (1 spare) next to the main fuse block under the hood on my B2650. The 12vdc relays are switched "on" with the main key switch. It's almost always personal preference as to how best hook up and run the wiring. If I wasn't prone to forgetting to switch off the power to the 3rd function I would have done as ayak stated above and just for those reasons.....to cycle the valves to relieve pressure in the lines. :) As is now, I have to turn the key back to "on", cycle the valve and then turn the key off again.....while thinking, "Grrrr, one day I'm going to change this wiring setup!" But it does ensure that I never find a dead battery when I need the tractor. At least so far that is.

Nice job on the install, Larry! The best part of doing it yourself is knowing the system afterwards. And with a little care and pre install thought.....the job isn't that hard to do.

Just to put a wrap on this job. After pondering a while, I decided to drill a hole in the cross beam line cover to attach the bracket up front. I put in a stout bolt and I believe its good for the long haul.

I hooked up the lines and blamo! I have a functional grapple. My first job was to move a log to the burn pile. I'm going to get a lot of use out of this tool.

If I had to install another, it's an hour job. The toughest part for me is the wiring. Many ways to go and none of them real easy. The in the instruction have a direct wire to the battery which I was a little uncomfortable with.

I do recommend the Summit Kit. Fast shipping, fair price, good support ( they answer the phone! ). They told me up front I'd have to figure out a mod for the front bracket. Here it is. Hope this helps someone down the road.
