Not necessarily an attachment, but I couldn’t find a more fitting forum to post this. Anyone added a subwoofer to the cab of an MX6000? The speakers in the roof are pedestrian at best and I know it’s not a perfect listening environment, but I was wondering if a sub would help under or behind the seat. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

This is going to be interesting. I would think that there might be room behind the seat for a custom sub, and then you'll need an amp to power it. Personally I doubt that the results would be worth the cost and effort without the addition of some decent power and additional sound proofing. Even then, a good set of noise cancelling ear buds would be better for the ears and provide better sound quality.

But I support any efforts to improve the listening experience. I've been fanatical about high-end audio for decades and have installed some really nice systems in cars and trucks over the years and completed a JL Audio upgrade on the boat this past summer which included six speakers and three amps.

Underseat could solve any constipation issues. Might even be able to hire it out. Need fancy seat covers.

Impressive! I’m a big audio fan as well. Been using the airpods but I hate having to remove them every time I have to stop the tractor to speak to someone at the field. I’m going to replace the head unit with a bluetooth stereo so I can stream music, but was thinking a powered sub like the Rockville SS8P 400W 8" Slim Under-Seat Active Subwoofer, might make a difference in the overall sound. It’s $99 on Amazon and it’s just under 3 inches tall so I have to measure, but it might just fit.

This guy covers how he installed his on his B2650HSDC.

I purchased the same subwoofer and speakers but haven't installed them yet in mine.

It looks like there's 9-3/8" of width, 3-3/8" of height and about 15" of depth under the MX seat so plenty of room for one of the powered subs shown below.

This 8" powered sub from Sound Ordnance looks like it'd fit nicely at 9-1/8"W x 3-1/8"H x 13-5/8"D and you wouldn't need to remove the grill.

Another option would be this powered 8" sub from Alpine at 13.4"W x 2.875"H x 9.062"D

I like Alpine products and have a lot of experience with them so that would be my choice. I'd add one of these Alpine amps and a couple of decent speakers and call it good. I have a complete Alpine system that installed in the F-250 a few years ago including a custom installed sub behind the rear seat. I used one of these amps in that installation. I also have a similar Alpine amp in the Jeep.

I invested some money is wireless GSD woofer and subwoofer 😉 years ago and have been very pleased with the audio and portability…they work with / without all three of my tractors as well as since they are wireless…
