Hi guys
As far as replacing the existing quick disconnects,,, I tend to agree but thats expensive and considering that I spent a ton of $ (to me anyway) for something new, I figured I should be able to grab what ever I needed off the shelf.
On your thoughts 'KN' of It should be ISO "newer than 1990" I say I agree with a big @$$ grin.
I would have thought that when I made my 40+ mile trip south to MB Tractor (the guys that bought out my local (only 8 miles away) Kubota dealer, they would have known what I needed. I mean I thought I paid big bucks so I did not worry bout having to do searches to figure out the "simple stuff" .
I guess its not all that simple.
THis dealership is pretty dam big too. Two or three locations throughout the state of NH . Not just a small all in one tractor/wood splitter/ snow blower guy type of place either.
They are supposed to email me when they find the fittings. That was Tuesday...hmmmm
Kind of leaves me out in left field. I never was that good in baseball. lol
Sometimes the small guys are better guys. ya know what I mean?
I may start searching northward.....

What I want to do is to run the angle left/right on my basic truck type of snow plow
that I have mounted to the skid-stear mount that normally is used for my set of forks.
Kind of a "third function" setup running from the back end. Minus spending over $750 for
the "third function package".
I purchase hose to run from the back end to the front end and made a mounting plate, purchased quick disconnects for standard plows (suv 4x4 type).
I may want to add a homemade "thumb" for the forks or my bucket when moving brush too.
"Bruceatlam" I agree and if this machine was 20-30 years old, I would have already made the change. Its just that she has under 400 hours on her and I just took the plastic off the seats this winter.....ok, stop laughing...and no , there is not plastic on my sofa....lol
So I am trying to use what I am supposed to be able to use. But your right,,, I may have to anyway.
Now my son just bought a $36k Mustang GT ..droooool..this old timer envies that... now he paid about the same as I paid two years ago for my baby. So why should he have to settle for after market fog-lights from Wal-Mart when he should be able to use the mounts and plugs that came with his car? (he did get the fog-lights with it...lol but you see what I mean?
When you buy old, you expect to have to jury-rig a bit and thats all part of saving money, when You buy new, you take a chance \gamble \ expect, that you should not have any probs for several years and should have great service....not.
I could just give up and buy the same thread , "O" ring type ...I think 1/2" staight thread and convert to what I can get locally but............
When I see male ends on the great links you guys sent me for $4-$12 ea... seems like a simple deal to me,,, just figure it out.
Thoughts?
