Hello all

Thank you for your patience. I found what I think is the mate to my Parker
quick disconnect for my M5040. I needed a set of males for the back end
of my Kubota.
Now I plugged it in and it seems to fit nicely but...lol...uh, I cant get it apart.

Now normally when you plug in two ends of most quick disconnects, you can just pull back on the outside sleeve (usually knurled) and it will release the male
end. The outside of this does not slide at all, Even when there is no male plugged into it.

What am I missing ?
I feel so dumb on this one. Does anyone have this particular animal on the back of their machine?

It looks to me that the one you have is a push in pull out type of female coupler. If it's like the ones that I used the collar will move but it's not like a normal coupler. If it does like mine you should be able to hole the collar and either push in or pull out on the rear (threaded) section and it should release your male coupler. Or like Kubota Newbie said should work as well.

Works slick!!!
Must be a safety thing so the hoses don't get ripped apart and blow out
fluid. If some equipment comes unhooked accidentally.
I would be sort of afraid that if I maxed out an implement, that it could blow
off a hose. ??

Now another dummy question. Hooking up a used attachment and new hoses,
how do I bleed out the air? like empty cylinder might have some other brand
in it so I want to flush it out and I have all new hoses but once I plug em in,
there is no bleed off like when I bleed brake lines.

Your thoughts?

1. Unfortunately, you can still rip a hose in two before it comes unplugged, trust me on that.
2. No, you can't blow the male coupler out of the tractor coupler with the hydraulic pressure.
3. I've never bothered to bleed implement lines, suppose it can't hurt, especially for those long lines you wanted to run clear to the front of the tractor. Usually just hook it up and cycle it up and down a few times.

Well.......sounds like a plan.

This weekend I will hook em all up and go for it. I will at least compress the new (old) rams to get as much of the old stuff out before I plug em in.
I plan on changing out the hydraulic fluid this summer anyway. 300 hours plus is not much but two years going on three...what the heck. Better safe...gotta last another 30 years so..well you know.

Thank you

You guys are great!!!

You were right, I was amazed!! just plug her in and push the handle forward and waited like 5 seconds and she turned to the right. Pulled it back and it took maybe 3 seconds and she turned left. After that it was immediate.
I am amazed cause its like 15' of hose along with empty rams, oh and 6' of plow hose too.
fyi, anyone else doing this, do not cheap out on the hose length! I didnt and got 15' plus but it would not have hurt me to get 16'. I measured carefully and figured I would have an extra foot. Nope,,just made it.

After you zip tie the hoses nicely up you lose a little here and a little there.
I made a bracket that bolted up pretty much like factory minus the better paint but I did match the color (of course) lol
The plow hoses, I went with 6' to make sure I had plenty and that was perfect.
The next upgrade will be to remount the plow to the bottom of the skid steer mount instead of inside of it. The skid steer mount goes to my forks attachment. I do not like how close to the ground my loader arms get so remounting the plow would be smarter.
I like the plow "floating" like a normal 4x4 plow. I feel its safer and along with the trip plate, keeps from too much pressure on my loader arms. I am very paranoid about screwing up those arms.

These are the male fittings for anyone else that needs the info.

They are from the www.SurplusCenter.com Those guys are great too.

Thank you all again.

oh and a little discouraged that my closest so called support dealer 40 miles away still has not found the male fittings that you see running today. One would think spending big$$$ would warrant a little more effort. Oh well. Its a good thing I got you guys. (and my patient wife) lol

We'll send you a bill. :D
Hey SD Vic, what's the current hourly shop rate for advice?

Glad it worked out for you. But I'm kind of hoping that you don't get too many more chances to use it this year.
