Any one have any tips for removings stickers from vehicles. Mainly having issues removing all the old glue left over from the old lettering and decals. The company i work for got bought out and changing all the decals is turning into a big pita:mad:

I've had some success with WD40 if the glue isn't too old, and automotive tar remover usually works, but after that, I find anything more aggressive will take the glue off and the paint off too.

I use heat gun to remove the decal first, then a citrus based adhesive remover called rapid remover. Squeegee the slime off, wash and ready to apply new decal.

I do all the decaling on the government fleet trucks in my district.put them on in spring, take them off in fall to return to the lease company.

85hokie, wolfman, thanks guys, that stuff saved me a bunch of time and aggravation :D Didn't need the 50 gallon drum, (boss would have pulled out the rest of his hair) just needed a couple bottles to do the 5 work trucks. The rental equipment gets repainted any way so the pressure washer and high temp are fine for that.
