Hi,
I recently acquired a Kubota L225DT. I am trying to clean out the fuel tank but I am having the hardest time removing the steering wheel. I have removed the pressure washer, washer and nut but the steering wheel will not come of. Can anyone please help?

There is not a threaded hole inside the center cover on my steering wheel so a standard "steering wheel puller" would not work.

A three jaw puller will not offset the spokes just right to work either. Plus it with would not get underneath the steel/aluminum part of the center collar to pull agianst it:mad::mad::mad:

The way I got mine off was to put a small "bearing splitter" tool, from a press, underneath the center section and then I used a two jaw puller to grab on each side of the splitter and put the pressure on the puller screw. Once it was very tight I gave a firm tap to the puller screw with a hammer and it jumped loose.

Caution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't beat on the puller to hard or to much to avoid shocking the steering shaft and damaging the gear or spool.;)

That tapered shaft gets a strong hold to the steering wheel, once it has been tightened down with the nut.

Good luck:)
