Stabilizing When There's No Implement

Lately I've been using my L-2201 (usually a bush-hogging machine for me) to haul stuff with a toboggan-like device attached to the pin-hitch. I'm getting a lot of nasty tire slap from the right arm of the unused hitch. I don't see a way to adjust the turnbuckles and chains to any effect as long as the arms are swinging free. (Correct me if I'm wrong about that.) Is it typical to use some sort of bar or other device to pull the arms together when running implement-less?

My '21 L3901 came with a bungee on the arms holding them together and off of the tires

Or use a snubber strap to hook the arms together.

The telescoping sway links are nice, because the arm is restrained in both directions.

Yeah, that bungee is a POS. The hooks are just about worthless. Also, there isn't really anywhere to hook it.
I haven't yet, but I want to replace mine somehow. I've got Pat's QH so it'd be cool to put a semi-permanent bungee on there and just adjust the width with the turnbuckles and know that they're not floating around while I try to hitch up.

A quick hitch will solve this and make implements easier to hookup

I used a draw bar for this reason on the old Ford plus adding a few trailer balls to move trailers around.

Sure there is…. either hook the lift-arm threaded-rods… OR… hook the eye-balls at the end of the lift arms….Or…. get a long enough bungee to wrap all the way-around and hook it to itself (or use two bungees).

mine too.... rubber tarp strap pulling arms together keeping off the tires. each arm had little welded loop for hooks to attach to.
