I've noticed that the two springs on my SSQA are adjusted to a different amount of preload. I looked in my owners manual and could find no spec for the spring preload as in turns down after spring contact or spring overall length when not engaged.

Does such a specification exist?

Not that I've seen.
I think because the springs vari quite a bit that you need to set the springs for feel of latch.
At least that's how I've always done mine.
