SSQA Snow Blower for LX3310

I’m considering a LX3310 (would be my first tractor) and was wondering if there are any decent SSQA Snow Blower units that would work well with the 3310?
A snow blower is required for my situation and I also need a loader to move snow that can’t be plowed or blown effectively. Having the ability to quickly change the blower and loader bucket would be a great and easy time saver even if it costs a little more.

Lacking tractor experience, particularly with swapping loaders for blowers, how fast and easy is it to swap the two in winter condition using Kubota’s quick disconnect systems (I don’t want to be crawling under a tractor in winter time)? What’s the best equipment/setup to do this easily and quickly if I’m not using a SSQA blower system?

Are SSQA blowers popular with the Kubota community or do most just stick with the Kubota blowers?

front HYD blower $6000, even more coins...sigh

1-2-3 are 'dedicated', IE once on,stays on all winter, need some kind of power hookup from tractor
4th makes sense buy not cents

I bodged one, cost me $500 to 'repurpose' 2, 24" walkbehind snowblowers, 15HP Honda clone, e-clutch and some steel. Hasn't snowed enough until this week to use it ! I may drag it out to finish off.

The GREAT thing about SSQA SP SB is that it's EASY to get on in 30 seconds/ EASY to get off in 30 seconds...just like every other SSQA attachment. Maybe you only need the blower 1-2 days, then the bucket for something, forks another day, Yes, can be a lot of money but consider it a 'lifetime' investment. You know how much snow you get and how healthy ( young) you are, but it's always nice to KNOW what options there are.

I think we are on the same page. I'm in my mid 60's, a little beat up and I don't need complication or frustration at this point of life.

But I'm not sure the ATV route will be robust enough. We can get a lot of snow, fast, and I will need to blow it a good distance, ideally.

I've have been looking over the Kubota blowers, though I'm far from being sold on them, and was trying to see the difference between the LX2980 Commercial vs LX2963 Residential. Just how much more robust is the Comm vs the Resid?

SSQA Snow Blowers:
Most are Hydraulically powered and NO your LX3310 does not have the hydraulic flow to support a Hydraulic blower.
The only option to run those on that tractor are to add a power pack (Pump, reserve, and cooler) not cheap.

There are a few "thinking out of the box" SSQA blowers available, here is one company that does it, they are local to me and their Snow Blowers are exceptional!
The larger units are tough enough for use with a truck or a tractor.

BERCOMAC in Quebec make them, though pricey, then again what isn't these dayze...
I imagine most SSQA blowers are for 'skidsteers' not tractors so an ATV version bodged to SSQA might(should ? ) be cheaper.

I have a new LX3310 with the kubota quick attach front blower system (commercial LX2980) in northern MN. It has worked wonderfully. It was a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The only downside is that there is a 10 minute switch over if you need to use the FEL for something. As for commercial - it is a little heavier built and uses gear instead of chain for second stage. Snowblowing up here is a contact sport so I felt it was worth it to go with the commercial version. If you don't need the FEL often in winter or have time for the switch over it is the BEST option for compact tractor snow removal in my opinion. The YouTube channel GP Outdoors has a bunch of footage of this blower on the sister machine LX2610.

Might be fine for small snows, but the way it snows up here you need the blower in the front of the machine. Frankly if the snow is light enough for me to just drive over I would use an ATV with a blade or a backblade on the tractor.

Yup - but my comments still apply as, if OP has low amounts of snow I wouldn't spend the money on a blower in the first place. Of course, lots of different opinions on this, was just offering mine.

It may be a space thing. No room for piles??? I guess we won't know until he responds. I live in Saskatchewan and in my area a pull type on his tractor would be a good fit. We very rarely get huge dumps of a foot or more. If that happens I'd just do the yard a couple of times during the storm...if possible.

I did a little research on his area. 75" of the white stuff a year, so he gets his share for sure. I'd say you're right about the front mount.

Even ignoring the hydraulic flow requirement, a SSQA mounted snow blower mounts lots of weight well forward of the front axle of the tractor.

You will need significant counterweight.

the most efficient way to keep the front end loader on the tractor and have a blower is doing rear PTO blower. Least comfortable, but you get to have both.

And well placed "wide angle distortion free" mirrors will greatly reduce the need to look over your shoulder while blowing snow in reverse. Using mirrors with a 3 pt. blower is a real game changer!

Mirrors are under rated. They are great at night with the led lights. I only turn around when I'm getting close to something solid.

Looks like a nice piece of equipment and it's a good thought but would never work up here. Too much snow to drive over, rather be clearing a path with the blower than driving through it first with the tractor. But even more important is I need to cut into drifts and banks that build up that are 6-8' high and on edges of berms/banks, so I need height and reach to whittle them down - front is a priority. But it's good to know what's out there for potential future needs.

Ya, as I mentioned above, it's got to be a front blower. I do use a UTV with a blade as much as possible but eventually I end up with a huge wall of snow that needs "blowing down". Can't be taken care of with the limited reach and height of a rear blower. Looks like LX2980 blower is the direction I'm heading.
