A much simpler explanation - grit entered the bore AFTER the overly long bolts got caught and sheared allowing the lubed pins to back out and dirt to fill the bores.
But hey - more fun to make it complicated and blame the operator.

Wow again... Yes, of course, I lube it and clearly stated that it filled with dirt AFTER bolt broke & pin moved (thanks oldhokie for the defense!)
Not really sure if dustyrusty is attempting humor or 5 o'clock happy hour came in the AM instead of PM !
Pulled the pin & cleaned the bore tonight. Kubota is doing us no favors in using longer bolts and orienting them that way. IMO they could get away with it IF they took the time to install the lower with the bolt head from the bottom.
Here is a pic of stock upper and my other side lower that is still on there but ground down into the nut
already
