The left pin (as looking at the tractor) doesn't retract all the way. So I looked in the LA525 WorkShop manual for the correct adjustments for the springs and adjusted both sides. I also cleaned the pins and the tubs that they are in. Greesed both of them and still the left pin doesn't retract all the way. I have taken all kinds of measurements to compare one side to the other and I can find anything that is different. You can see in the top picture that the pin is sticking out, but on the bottom picture (the other side), you can't see the pin. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't remember if it has always been this way or not.

One thing I noticed is the springs (over the threaded bars) appear different. The second picture looks more compressed (wire is closer to each other).

What happens if you tighten the nut in the second picture?

But what happens if you tighten the nut on the incorrect side? It should pull that tang back (as I see it)?

If the pins allow removal of the implements when raised and drop down enough to be fully engaged when lowered, don't worry.

I'd back that lock nut off a bit on the side that doesn't engage as far. That forces the rod to push the pin. the spring only helps to keep it all in place.
