My old gas powered weed eater finally blew up. Yesterday I bought a cordless Black and Decker 40V weed eater. Used it today and I LOVE IT !!!! :D Should have bought one years ago.

My ancient Paramount corded electric weed eater just died, and because batteries tend to have a short life out here, I bought another corded one.

The on/off switch is a little heavy, but this thing will cut down Sequoias.
I also like the two head feature- if you run out of line with the bump feed head, instead of having to stop in the middle of a job & rewind it with line, just takes a few seconds to switch to the fixed line head. Now it took Homer D & UPS FOUR tries to ship me one intact, but that's another story.

Spring.... Not so much.... It was 80 one day last week, this week frost every night. On the west side Michigan by the lake the fruit crop has just about been wiped out. Around here another year without wild blueberries. Good year for maple syrup and now no blueberry pancakes.:(:(:(

Rain, rain, and more rain  did I mention it's raining again?? gave up mowing half the back yard. Can get the hill and close to the house. The lower section will probably end up getting bush hogged in another month to knock it back into submission. After we get a week or two of solid sunshine and it dries out. We are up to 10" of rain so far this month. And no end in sight

How far is that from the one that hit a year ago?
It came up from hot springs then crossed I40 between morrilton and Russellville. it's about forty miles west on I40 from where you saw the damage last year. Didn't amount to much though. There's another warning where they saw some rotation about five miles south of us right now, but it's heading more easterly and gonna miss us.

Supposed to be some hellacious winds though

Watch out for snakes!!!! Got home tonight and my jack Russell wasn't acting like he normally does when I got home. Found his face all swollen :( called the vets office and told them to hold the vet since they were about to close and ran him up there. We found 6 punctures between his nose and cheek.

It was probably a copper head. And judging by the distance in the punctures, it was an adult. Which is a good thing. It means a dry bite. So he got a healthy dose of antibiotic and steroid. It's gonna be hell trying to give him his pills later with his face so swollen :(

He's one of those dogs you have to force feed a pill too  I was able to disolve the benedryl and mix it with peanut butter. His steroid, I crushed and mixed with peanut butter, but didn't work as well. He only ate about half of it  gonna have to get some vanilla ice cream and deal with his gas

He looks like a little snake hunter, I'm happy he's ok! Mine likes to search out garden snakes and moles like she's a cat or something. Thankfully no poisonous snakes around me. Although, my bully got stung by a bee on its lip a few years ago. Her face swelled right up and we had to take her for an epie pen shot. Of course she's allergic, it wouldn't be any other way .

Try giving him the pills in a piece of hot dog, slice an X into the middle of it and slip the pill inside. Give him a piece without a pill first to get his attention, and don't let him see you put the pill inside! Lol
