Today I was out mowing with my Husqvarna riding mower and I realized it did not have power steering!!! I have only had it for 6 years or so, lol. My B2650 has spoiled me in a short amount of time; power steering, 4wd, AC, heat, adjustable seat, etc, etc.

I know I am we were talking this morning about the old days heck I'm only 46 but I remember driving the old tractors. The dump truck with no power steering or ac, the backhoe with no brakes we would lower the bucket to stop it.....

I remember when I got my first 8N, I thought I had it made and they did serve me well for many years. But things change, we get older, and it is nice to have a few creature comforts that we have worked for. I am fairly deliberate and waited until I found what I wanted. Did not know about the hydro-static drive, too new fangled, lol. But from what I understand they are durable if you take care of them and it is nice to be so maneuverable after manhandling those 8Ns.

My old cockshuut has power steering or power assist. Used it a couple winters to plow snow. It was cold. My truck now has a plow. The kubota is a godsend with the mower and three point hitch. The forks were the greatest thing i ever built.
Having a good tractor that starts and does what one needs is a creature comfort. My garage has A/C, not a comfort-a necessity.
