Something has fallen off? Need help to figure what fits there please.

Hi all,
I found a spot on the left underside of my B2100 hydrostatic transmission where something is missing - I am guessing an hydraulic line connected to .... ? I will post pictures.

Ok, I've gone through most of the B2100h.. drawings at Kbu Cda and I can't see what it is (or was...)
To me that's the right rear tire ? And the MMM PTO shaft ?

By the size I'd think 'return' line but 64K$ question... is there ANY hydraulic oil in the tractor ??

I sure hope someone replies and say WHAT it is !! Soon !!

How long have you had this tractor?
Does it go forward and backward?
If not, when did it stop working?
Anything unusual happen about that time?
Has anyone worked on it recently?
How did you happen to lose the filter?

There should probably be a steel pipe, similar to this diagram, running from the transmission case to the filter bracket. There also should be a filter. You can see it on the illustrated parts lists on www.kubotausa.com, using your exact model number.

Thank you for reply. The filter is correctly in place on left side as in diagram. The spot in question is on bottom at right side. Found the bright "vacant" hole while looking tractor over before I give it a service on all oil/filter areas - engine, transmission and front axle.
Tractor functions normal, but it does tend to lose hydraulic oil over a 25 - 30 hour operations period. maybe 1 gallon. Nothing when parked, so must be during movement.
I've had it for 5 years - bought it well used, and put about 160 hours on it. Wonderful machine.

Thank you for reply. You are correct, the right rear tire, and the mower Pto. Yes, the trans oil level is fine. My hope is that another owner tells me their tractor looks the same, so I can just service it and carry on.
I do have a drip on the auxiliary hydraulic connector block - will tend to that when I replace hoses.
The tractor runs fine.

I'm as lost as GreenvilleJay.

This appears to me to be a spin-on filter bracket. Another thing that doesn't jive is the inlet/outlet appears to be pointing down, but on the parts diagram it's horizontal.

In this diagram, I believe the filter is not shown, but would be about where the tag 010 is. If so, there is an item 130, which is a plug. It appears to be opposite the dip stick tube 030, perhaps it is an alternate location for other applications. If so, I'd think you'd have a h3ll of a time keeping fluid in it!

Does any of this make sense? Maybe you could post a picture of the hydrostat filter.

Looks like a hole for a pipe connection if the filter housing on that side of the transmission was used (in a different application). I'm sure there was a cap over it at some point, but because it isn't used, shouldn't be a big deal.

I bet if you stuck your finger up there and bent it to the right side of the tractor, it would poke out the center hole of the filter housing.

Nothing goes there.
It's just a blind casting, from an abandoned / skipped / unused option.
It was used to make the case work for the B2100D

If it was a B2100D case, the port on the side would have been setup for a filter, like the pic below.

Thank you all for responding. I think the prize goes to Wolfman.

Now I can service it, and make a little cover for my own sanity. And, replace the leaky Aux power connection - have been catching that leak in a Langers' mango juice bottle.

It has got to be nice when you can come to a public forum and express a concern/problem you recognize but not sure what to do about it and get an answer that resolves the issue.

Many internet sites try to offer similar connections for various subjects and end up being nothing but negative comments about the poster, his ideas, project and no solutions.
