The BX has a quarter inching valve for the 3ph. Lift the lever up, the 3ph goes up until you let go the lever. Push the lever down, the 3ph goes down until you let go the lever. When the lever is in the middle nothing happens. It's a pretty simple setup, not too much could go wrong I suspect.

Is it possible there's some grot in the pipework somewhere between the quick connect coupler and the tank? That would block flow. Or a bend or crimp in the pipe I guess.

A float valve is supposed to open the circuit (both ways), right? If the float valve was jammed I don't see how that stops oil returning to the tank.
We can guess all day but a few well focused tests usually gets to the answer faster.

Float is simply a fourth spool position. The spool is not jammed and shifts into lift and lower functions normally. Proper work port oil flow for those functions and operation of the couplers and cylinders has also been confirmed by testing. Unless the spool is broken in half its not stuck in any positiin.

This aint black magic !!!

EVERYTHING in the loader plumbing and valve can be tested by removing the power beyond return connection at the location I have circled in the diagram below and rerouting that hose to the hydraulic filler. That completly removes the 3pt from the loader circuit. If all loader functions operate correctly with the power beyond hose rerouted the problem is in the 3pt circuit somewhere AFTER that reroute point.

I think there is already amble evidence to believe that to be the case but the OP can make that 100%. and put all this speculation to rest.

Dan

PS》If its easier to access the PB circuit can also be diverted at the point marked "A" in the diagram. Just unscrew the hose and slip a piece of vinyl tube over the end of the 90 degree fittting. There will be some significant flow and modest pressure there so clamp as appropriate. Run the other end of the tube into the hydraulic filler on the tractor.

Well Dan had me check the couplers on the quick coupler. Good pressure on the bottom side with my gauge and found I had flow through the top side by removing the top hose of the lift and down couplers added a piece of hose into a bucket and functioning the joystick. Ive been trying to figure out my problem the last 3 days and had the quick coupler off several times. Three days ago when I opened the coupler I notice a few drips from the coupler for the down function. In the next two days I noticed that coupler releasing a small stream upon opening. I didnt think that coupler could be my problem as it was letting fluid through it. Well today I decided swap that coupler with the curl coupler to test. Sure enough the loader goes right up. NOW why changing a leaky coupler for the down function gave me my lift back is beyond me! I have ordered that new coupler that goes on the top side of the quick coupler and its $99.67 at the stealer! Yes that little coupler! Holy crap! Im just glad the problem is solved and I thank everyone for their input!

Hokie Smokie - 3 Cheers for Dan ! (and all those that helped)

Glad you got it solved.

This thread was like watching a good "whodunit" and I was trying to figure out if it was Mrs. Plum in the library with a hammer, but turns out it was Mr. Coupler on the side of a 'Bota with a golden(priced) pipe(coupler) !

Did you not check that coupler yesterday? Last test performed?

Yep! I had flow in and flow out on both the loader up and loader down couplers!
My guess is it wasnt closing all the way
