It looks like my post requesting North Dakota Wolfman's response was deleted? At least I can't find it.

From the book i have, I've read the 5100, 6100 and 7100 front PTO's are; 18mm x 22 spline shafts. I measured the front pto output on mine and it is the 18mm. Measuring from the front tip of the tractor pto output shaft to the front of the tractor (ie let's call it the "mounting plate/bumper") is 9.5 inches. Does that sound like your assembly? Seeattached pic.

Lol on my part. A member (Arml) has a front pto shaft including the full housing assembly (pulleys, outer shell, cover, etc.) on a B5100.
I've have an operator/parts manual and read the 5100, 6100 and 7100 front PTO is compatible. providing they share the 18mm x 22 spline shaft. I measured the front pto output shaft dimensions on my B7100 and it is the 18mm x 22 spline and understand his B5100 is the same. Are there any gotchas I might be missing before purchasing?

With the measurements you gave, what he has, should mount right up.

I think to mount it up you'll need to pull the cast weight on yours, but with the notch I might be wrong.

That weight is indented to allow for the shaft to pass the weight without removal. The weight actually floats in there. It also appears the front bolt holes align and I could bolt it in but I have 2 front horseshoe weights that drape over the front mounting plate that block the ability to bolt it in. I've confirmed with North Idaho Wolfman what I thought, and it appears your unit will work with my B7100.
I live in CT and depending where you are could drive out to pay and pick up the unit. What area in PA are you (ie city)?

I assume the stub sticking out below is the 18 x 22 pto shaft you are talking about. How is it attached to the engine and what is supporting it on the outboard end?

Brad, I'm a little confused about the stub shaft coming from the engine, this flange I have bolts to the engine pulley then the shaft along with the electric PTO slides into the hub. I'll get some pictures together for you in couple days to verify if it will fit. Perhaps the D model is not the the same as the 2wd E....?

Arml. I have a 7100D. I am sure he will tell you but the stub you are seeing is not the front PTO shaft. If you look at the pic you sent you will see a little grove cut in the metal above the wires and just below the radiator. The PTO comes out there and is lined up with that groove on top of the large weight. I would like to see a picture of yours so I can see how the pto fits in. Thanks Gary

The D is for dual traction - e.g. 4WD.

I have the same splined PTO hub on my B7200 - the parts book calls it a flange. Messicks shows the shaft (66494-88540) available for $150+. Probably going to be NLA if you call.

What are you trying to accomplish? I have toyed with the idea of making a front takeoff for a hydraulic pump using more common parts. Thats easy. The more difficult/ expensive part is the running gear - e.g. clutch - for the outboard end if you want to run something that requires it.

The part you are point to is the front axle pivot, not the crank.

Got it. All he has is the crankshaft pulley and hub. Is that shaft still available from Kubota?
