That is so true!
The only true electronics that I ever appreciated was the advent of electronic ignitions. An analog gauge telling me RPM's, voltage/amps, oil pressure and water pressure(if not air cooled), and a decent ability to hear well was all I ever needed to operate my truck, car, tractors and mowers.
Money and commonsense are both thrown out the door on more and more BS and this is what translates to newer machinery via lawsuits and government "protection" mandates. (Plus air emissions which isn't a bad thing if you lived in the smog days of the 60's & 70's).
