Ours has been idle for 2 weeks. Too warm now but I'm sure it's coming.. Hard to beat a fire in the stove for comfort. It's a nice atmosphere.

We have propane central heat but mostly use our pellet stove. Burn about 1-1/2 tons of pellets and about 250 - 300 gallons of propane per year, have a 1000 gallon tank so good for 3 years if the apocalypse comes. Propane appliances; dryer, cooking range, central heat so our usage is pretty good. Have had pellet stoves for 35 years or so, easier than cutting wood and get a similar effect, plus it is on a t-stat.
