Hi,

How did this solution work out in the long term? And what is that piece called with the roller bearings that guides the cable into the winch?

Any suggestions for improvements?

I saw this thread last winter and decided to make something similar to the setup TGReaper posted.
I have a 54" Meteor 3 pt blower on my B7500HST. I welded on a bracket to bolt the winch on to the frame and used a 2000# winch kit from Harborfreight.
Here's a couple pics of the result.

I did something similar last year. With a car seat motor from princess auto. It worked great. But then it failed because my wiring got ruined by the salt+snow. So make sure you use good wiring, good connectors, and put some grease (vaseline?) On the connectors.
