I just picked up a pair of L series tractors (L3210 and L4740) and want to add rear snowblowers front snow pusher/blades to both. What widths can they handle. I am north of Ottawa Canada and can get some fairly heavy snowfalls. I am looking for inverted models but don’t know if that makes a difference in performance and therefore width.

I should add that these two both came with R3 tire sets but will probably swap out to R1s.

I wonder why road plow trucks weigh 60 tonnes to push a 10 foot plow?

I use a snowblower because plows suck when you have lots of snow to deal with.

You probably only want them a bit wider than the track(width) of your tires.
Too wide and you'll slowly chew more snow than you can blow, especially if it's 'high density' snow (aka wet and heavy ! ).
Also be sure to swap rear tires when you add the snowblowers.

Don't forget that you may need wheel spacers to allow for tire chains . You need to figure that out before you agree on what the width of your blowers will be .

I had a 60" Normand on my L3400 and now have a 60" Blizzard on my L3800. In doubt we get as much snow here (CT) as you do but we did have a 4' snow fall that the L3400 handled fine - slow but fine.
