Snow with the FEL

I have a buddy that has a garden tractor with a manual blade on the front. He plows his gravel parking lot using a piece of poly pipe with a slit cut in it over the cutting blade to keep from scraping up the gravel. Anybody tried this with their front end loader to pick up snow in a gravel parking lot?

There are several threads on here about that exact thing.
Most say it works well others have mixed results.

Agree w/ Wolfman, never tried this application.

However, I find the tried and true skid shoes to be a workable solution.

Also added a truck tire retread throw to a back blade that works well.
