All the reservoir does is hold overflow coolant as the engine warms. It can build up to 14 or 15 psi as the system heats. If your patch holds, you're good. If not you will be looking at a replacement reservoir.

Coolant overflow bottles have no pressure in them. Just hold coolant that siphons back into the rad when it cools off and exits the rad to the bottle when it heats up (least on tractors). On automotive systems, the overflow bottle can be pressurized and part of the system.

Easy way to determine that is see where the rad cap is. If it's on the rad, the bottle isn't pressurized. If t's on the bottle the bottle is pressurized. Simple as that.

Never looked under the hood of one so I'll take your word for it. Everything I own is non pressure except the Suburban and my pickup truck. Even the wife's new side by side Kubota is ambient pressure.

All one has to do is locate the pressure cap to ascertain if or if not.
