I posted earlier tonite about the pins on my L3400 SSQA not seating fully in the rectangular holes on the plate associated with my tractor bucket. By backing the nut off on either side, I think I was able to alleviate this problem (the pins now rest on the edge of that rectangular hole).
However, I'm now wondering how much "slop" folks allow between their tractor's SSQA and any of their implements (i.e. bucket, forks, etc). Attached are two photos that may or may not illustrate the amount of "play" I'm experiencing. More to the point, I'll say that with my SSQA pins locked and the loader lifted, I can lift the bucket slightly by hand, seemingly overriding the springs that hold the pins in place. The photos more or less show the freedom of movement the bucket has on my tractor's SSQA.
I guess my question is do folks expect this kind of play/slop with their SSQA + attachment(s)? I compared it to a slightly newer Kubota L3800 at work and that bucket has largely zero freedom of movement on the SSQA. I even applied down pressure with the loader and didn't witness the bucket shifting up/down on the SSQA.
Hope my question is clear as mud. My tractor's got about 1000 hours on it. The SSQA appears to be in fine shape. I'm not seeing any grossly bent or warped components for what that's worth. Furthermore, the amount of play I'm seeing is evident regardless of the attachment. My bucket moves just as freely as my forks, leading me to believe it's not the attachment itself. Curious what folks think. Thanks for your time.
