Slack In Accelerator Arm

I bought a L3010, Has 780 hrs on it. I can't get the RPMs up due to the amount of slack in the hand accelerator prior to it engaging (pushing) the accelerator arm. I can adjust the arm to close most or all of the gap/slack. Not certain that this is the proper way to address the issues though.

Anyone have experience with this one?

Thanks!

Are all the pivot points wallowed out causing the slack? 700 hours shouldn't allow so much wear on the iron to be very far out of adjustment.

If there's nothing obvious adjust the rod to suit you.

No wallow found. Will look for slippage in the linkages between the Control Shaft, Connection Rod, and Accelerator Rod. If none found I'll run out the adjustment on the Accelerator Rod and hope there is enough tread to eliminate all the slack...

when I got my tractor, that lever was completely seized. I think the PO never used the lever, just the foot throttle. I ended up having to take the dash off to get to the parts and used heat to separate the moving parts. Anti-seized all the parts and it's good as new. There is some built in play when moving the lever but on my tractor, it's seems it's designed that way.
