Murphy's law I guess.
On the bright side - if you had a bunch more of those you wouldn't need chains.

Front or rear, my foam filled BX tires would laugh at that... :ROFLMAO:

Liquid filled rear tire did not laugh once though...after first rear puncture, foam went it...never looked back. Not that expensive on the small BX tires.

It looks like a 'Paul Bunyon' sized electrical staple. Should have 'fun' tomorrow morning taking it to local mechanic to plug it, er , plugs it.....
Only have maybe 50 hrs on the tire....guessing Kubota doesn't have 'road hazard' on new tires....

You could have the tire tubed.

If not plugable then try those plug/patch things they work well, or even a tube.

How long were you running on that with it flat? That outer sidewall is really beat up. You probably should dismount it to check for internal sidewall damage.

No worries Jay! If the plugs leak and they probably will since the puncture is not in the tire lug area just add the Kubota branded (water soluble) tire sealant! DO NOT REMOVE THE PLUGS! Mine is holding over two years now! If you haven't tried plugging it yet I would suggest not to. The tire wall is too thin for the plug to work. The sealant alone will work if you haven't reamed out the hole yet and you'll never worry about a puncture again with the sealant! Now if you already tried to plug it and it fails leave the plug in and add the sealant.

Properly applied patches on inside will hold unless cords have been cut.

Yeah, but with somehting that size, the chance of cords being cut is pretty high. That tire just might be ready to retire to the good life as a decorative planter.

This would be interesting as an:

"ID this piece of metal" type of thread. I, too, though it looked kinda like a large staple, but I have no idea what it actually is.

I'll log my guess as:
Neighbour was sloppy cleaning up after rebuilding a large engine,(or other mechanical project like stripping down an old car/truck/machinery)) and this was left over....and situated perfectly for your tire to seek it out and capture it ! :-(

Meh, come back when you drill a hole in a brand new, just mounted tire and tube because you didn't measure correctly.

The fronts were bought April 26th this year, so maybe 100hrs ( it's only 4 yrs old, has 800+ hrs ). The electrical staple may have come from the 'reno' of the neighbour's house,3/4ac place with shop and 32 vehicles on it last year. The crusher run is so compacted ,even a single tooth on the BH will NOT rip it up. Funny stuff, once busted up, it's 'gravel', drive over it 10-20 times, it's like concrete ! I know I was loading 100yr old retaining wall rocks and the area next had the old fireplace remains. So far have moved 300-400 buckets of rocks 'offsite' in the past 3 -4 weeks.
Only cost $30 for Kubota dealership to plug the tire and guys said 'good to go'. if it fails ,no big deal $240 for another.
Now IF I could buy the Kenda tires , I would as I do a 50/50 mix of off/on road travel.

Worst Stuff I ever tried. Leaked all the time and made a mess on the floor.. Couldn’t ever get it all cleaned out. Rusted the wheels.

THIS stuff did the job perfectly. (it is also the best according to Project Farm tests)

Just got a gallon a few days ago and put about 40 pumps in the front tire of my Ranger. They keep bragging on the Kevlar and I hope it deals this tire.
