I have a 5 year old l 6060. This year I spent $1000.00 on repairing mouse-eaten wires in the cab. It seems that our wonderful friends in Japan have not learned about soy- based wiring insulation attracting mice. Henry Ford figured this out when the Model A was on the market.

Next, there was the issue with the computer throwing random codes. Initial indications were the CAN. It turned out to be a fuel pressure problem in the injection rail. Another $1040.00.

The machine has 850 hours on it. I am wondering if we will get to 1000???

It's not just Japan! It's called the "Green" movement which tells us we have to do away with everything connected with oil-based products and which our "leaders" in Washington are fully on board with. This is the reason all wiring insulation is now soy-based:

I put moth balls in old socks and put the socks in places I think mice might reside, under the hood of a couple of tractors, in my pump house, even keep hornets and wasp from the lid of the propane tank. I recheck the socks about every 3 months.

Yes, you'll easily get to 1000 hrs, you're only 150 away!! ;) ;)
