Might have been racially motivated, or orientation motivated. He considered himself the perfect reporter, black and gay. At least he had the right idea, in the end (killed himself...) If only he had done that first...
here is the part of the whole equation that really pisses me off.....
there are many "white" people shooting "white" people daily.....other than being a tragic story - it is NOT a long term story....nor is it harped on

but you have a "white" person shoot a "black" person......the story stays around of a good bit....and is harped on by EVERY ONE !
we have a "white" kid shoot up a "black" church......nothing is mentioned about the gun or anything else ....of course it is a racially motivated, but WE then turn the attention to a flag that had notttttthing to do with the motivation and stay on the story foreeeeeeeeeeeever !
and now we have a "black" man that claims to be "treated" unfairly by everyone around him for the last 15 years.....and we will not harp on the fact that it IS a racial motivation nor a mental problem. YET he uses the excuse that the shooting of the church pushed him over the edge to create this situation. The true pieces of the story will be left out due to the "political correctness"
I dont want to really say what I feel - cause then I too would fall in the trap of being bias and racist - two things I try hard not to be.
But the bottom line is that the "color" of the shoot and the "color" of the dead play little importance when the funerals takes place.
and of course the media stirs the pot to the point they look for more attention than the situation can stand. Almost looking to pick a fight so MORE news is created to sell more stuff.......
Funny how CARS kill more of our young people YEARLY than guns kill young people.....yet we still allow them to drive a early age and expect them to magically drive like a person with 20 years of experience.
situations like this just fuel the knee jerk reactions to lets fix this right now! This is not an easy fix......go ahead - take all the guns, then of course the bad guy has a gun - then what ??? Or flip side, everyone has a gun....again both sides are not pleasing at all.
All I know is that the gun is used because it is efficient and "Cheap" - you could kill someone with a pencil if you wanted to, but then again that would not be as simple. BUT I dont know of too many people that were perfectly SANE when they went on the rampage ........all of the past shooters had one thing in common, mentally deficient.
so maybe we need to look a little deeper at the past acts of the last 10 or so people that have been in this situation, but the thought of allowing someone to know that "johnny" is crazy would be against his "rights" ..........
the political correctness is so %@### up that it is comical .....and dangerous.
Hell - I thought I would feel better after this rant , but even this doesnt change the fact that two "normal" loving people will not see the morning sun tomorrow.
sorry if I offended anyone - my intentions are purely out of frustration that the rights of the "crazy" out weight the rights of the "not crazy"
and we are helpless to stop it
