Hi All

Newbie here - just got a B2620 with loader and backhoe - and I am trying to figure out just how big a shed I need to build to house it. I'd like a little extra room to be able to work on it.

Currently I have it sheltered under a 12 x 16 foot deck - but it hangs out a few inches on either end on the 16' dimension.... and then there is the height issue.

Does anyone have a shed or storage area they feel is adequate - length, width and height wise - for the B series? I really thought 12 x 16 would be more than enough but obviously it not quite enough. Pics would be appreciated!

Thanks!!

Just built a 30x40x12 thinking it would be big enough for my needs. The 12 ft part really needs to be at least 13 high for my mower to clear when I have it on and it really would be nice if it was a 40x60. The bigger the shed the more stuff you will try to cram in it. I'm thinking real hard about adding another 15 or 20 ft to the front of mine. That's the only direction I still have room to go without doing major dirt work.

I've never of anyone who built too big and then removed some of the building but, I've heard allmost everyone say, "I wish I had built bigger".

Mine is 36 x 28 with 10 ft. walls and a 5" pitch gable roof with a carport on 1 side. there is plenty of room to work on the inside. but after it was built I wished we went bigger.

Thanks for the input. Now I definitely need some more advice - how to I break the news to my wife? No way I can sneak a structure that size past her...

Just make sure she knows you need to protect the investment. It won't exactly melt in the rain but the resale value will be higher for a shed kept tractor and the weather related problems should be much reduced!

The higher resale value is a good point to bring up to her even thouigh you have no intention of selling it. Lower maintenance cost because it's in the dry and you can work on it in the dry so the Dr bills won't pile up from you getting sick. You could always order trusses for a 30x40 and tell her they sent the wrong size. Anything it takes to get a bigger shed.
