Shear Pin Removal Issue

hmm, I loked at the pix and figured the auger had 'slid' relative to the shaft so that the holes didn't line up. On every snowblower I've worked on the 'auger' slides down the shaft, then spun to align, then bolted on
Moving the auger left or right, then rotated, should align the holes allowing the old bolt to be punched out.

hmm.. I started by looking at the pictures.... they're worth 1000 words ??:)
I can't see the holes would be offset,never seen an 'offset' shear pin.
Did the auger slide a LOT on the shaft or did it just bind up solid,due to shearpin shrapnel binding up the inside of the auger tube-shaft.
Every blower I've worked on auger holes lineup with shaft, pin or bolts goes through,hopefully a snug fit, any slop usualy will allow the auger hole to become egg shaped.
Just curious.
Hopefully drilling the bolt out didn't egg shaped the shaft !
