Skeets what kind of grinder do you use bench or side. I use bench never used jig and it is a trick to it. ;)Most people round ends off without even knowing it until they leave that one strip of grass in the center of 2 or 3 blades. Tell me if you use a bench grinder.handy

Yeah I have an old Baldor bench grinder and an angle grinder too,, When I do it they never quite look the same again,,lol.. What i was thinking was something that would hold the blade so you could grind across it at a 90 and the jig would already have it tilted to the right angle,,, any hints are always welcome

You might attach a magnetic protractor to the head of your angle grinder to get the proper angle? I'm a machinist, so it's just second nature to me.:D Always helps to have a fresh rock on the grinder, when they get rounded off it makes it harder to maintain a certain angle.

Make sure they are balanced, otherwise they will vibrate.

I clamp mine in a vise and use a die grinder to sharpen them. A flap wheel or a surphase prep pad seems to work just fine and doesn't eat the blades up at all. It is easy to keep the edge at the right angle to.

Could come up with a metal holder welded together but you need a angle finder which is about $8.99 at Lowes or Home Depot.

Check what degree it is with it.

Just would have to set back and make a ruff sketch.

I use a bench top belt sander. Have two of them one three inch wide and a one inch wide, Been using these for years. Don't use a grinder any more at all.
