Setting up a box grader

Need some help from experienced box blade users. I have connected a Land Pride 72" box blade to my MX6000 for the first time yesterday using Quick Hitch. I am confident that I have the box grade level right to left and front to back.

I currently do not have the rippers lowered.

When I put my 3 point hitch in the lowest position, the blade touches the ground, but that is with the 3 point hitch control lever all the way down.

So the box grade is touching the ground with the lever all the way in the lowest position, but there is no way to lower it further.

When I attempt to grade, I pick up very little dirt. Mainly I am just cutting off any high spots. So I am not moving very much dirt.

Can I adjust the 3 point hitch so the control lever is not all the way down when the box just makes contract with the ground?

Any help is appreciated!

To make the box blade cut more aggressive, you shorten the top link. If you lower the scarifies, that to will rip up more dirt.

Mine touches the ground before the lever is all the way down. Not sure how or why, it just does. If you have multiple mounting points for the lower arms, you may need to change those to get it to go lower. I'm not familiar with the MX line but I'm sure someone here can get specific.

Which hole are you using for the back of the top link?

Shortening the top link fixed the problem. Now I am grading with no problems. Thank for help.
