Serial number on older Kubota tractor

I was under the impression that the serial number was stamped on body near the clutch pedal.

I found this number there: B6100 IE 11189.

I sent an e-mail to Kubota and they replied:

"The number you sent is not a registered Kubota number"

Is there another number on this tractor somewhere? This tractor belonged to a friend of mine who has passed away and hi s mother wants to sell it.

I am trying to find out when it was manufactured.

What you seek is very hard to get!
Most information on those older tractors is hit or miss.
That is the right serial# It's a B6100E model (E means 2wd) and serial# is 11189.
If the tractor wasn't registered, which is very common on the older tractors, Kubota Corp. will not be able to provide you with any information.

It was made somewhere between 1978 - 1984, year does not matter too terribly to most tractor owners, parts are based on model not year.

It appears your tractor was manufactured in 1978 according to tractordatainfo.com. A total of 8823 copies of the 6100 E were manufactured between 1976-1984. I have a 6100 HSTE which were built between 1981-1986. 1902 copies of that model. The web site quoted has many more Kubota models listed, as well as other manufacturers. Tom

It is likely a Gray Market Tractor in which case Kubota does not seem to want anything to do with those.
I have an L1802DT and I tried talking to a dealer for some parts.
They do not recognize that it is even a Kubota tractor.

There is actually a ton of Kubota tractor models not listed!

Also the info on some of it is wrong, they do not have the info for the B7100HST-D's right because there was many more models made after the late 80's. and the serial #'s are the same or they quoted them wrong.

It appears that site may be operated by SSBtractor. It is from the Same IP.

Since there is no contact page on tractordatainfo guess corrections could be sent to SSB?

First Tractordatainfo.com was never a valid site, it was someone's typo 10 years ago.
Second when you said:

You put an extra T on the end of data that's why Tractordata.com didn't work for you either.
simple typo mistake.
