Not sure if it's ok to post this here.. figured it's made in Japan so should be close enough

I bought a john deere sx 95 from a lady local a few months ago and this was in her barn.. we talked a bit and had some good stories to tell.. and she showed me this tractor she bought new in 1978 and I had expressed interest in it being I collect and restore old tractors of all brands..

Time went by and she had her niece message me yesterday asking if I wanted to buy it.. of course! I said.. So I called her and made arrangements to pick it up today..

This old gal runs and works great although it has surface rust that has replaced the white paint she fires right up after putting a good battery in it and has very little blow by if any and does not smoke.. will need some wiring work but that's easy for me. Came with trans oil, motor oil and some diesel fuel and a little trailer..

Great score, I test drove one of those when I first started tractor shopping, and I liked it.
Those rear tires are awesome, and those are really different front weights.

Nice find. Looks like surface rust caused by oxidation from setting in the barn!

That's awesome....brings back memories for me when I worked for the twp mowing ball fields in 1982. I was 16 at the time and used a Satoh Beaver with a woods rear finish mower. It was a very reliable, well built machine.

I'm going to try to find a woods finish mower for it.. she said the one she had rusted out many years ago that she bought new and has been useing it to clean up trees and such for the last 20 years
