Salt spreader recommendation please

I have a B6100 and I would like to know if anyone has a recommendation for a 3pt hitch salt spreader for driveway applications. I would like to stay under $1000 but all advice will be considered. Thank you all for your help.

Are you strictly spreading salt, or are you spreading sand too? If you are using salt only, I would look at one that has a polyethylene hopper that won't rust.

Not a fan of salting but I would use one like this and be sure to rinse and clean regularly. Get a cover as water mixing in is bad news for clumping and corrosion.

If you are using salt I would not get a metal hopper spreader.

The one I posted is a poly tank. The problem is the actual spreaders are metal and they will corrode if not cared for. Just like the cars out east that do not wash off the salt and silt each storm.

This one is rated for salt. It has a poly hopper, and stainless steel broadcast wheel.

I bought this spreader from Agri Supply here in NC. They will ship anywhere in the US. I used it this past weekend to spread rock salt. Worked great. $400. Hold 10 bags of rock salt or 500 lbs. Highly recommend it.
