I stopped to see a bud last evening when I saw his GF pulling his Kubota batwing mower back to the house. She stopped and we chatted a bit she told me that she hit a large branch in the field and it got wedged in the mower. And the center clutch started smoking BAD. Long story short ,when he came over we were talking about the clutch and I was wondering how hard it would be to replace those disks and about how much. Now if I know I can look like a wise old man and tell him how to fix it,,,lol Any input guys?

Well, I'll give it a shot. I had many years experience pulling batwings mowing Right-of-Way for a state highway department. Down through the years we had several brands, Woods, M&W, Terrain King, Schulte and others. The typical method is removing the spring loaded tension bolts on the outside of the clutch. There are a series of steel and fiber discs that provide slip in case you hit something. After replacement the even re torquing of the spring loaded bolts is critical to even pressure on the discs

Yes, what Saxman said. Simply remove the bolts, replace the components in the reverse order they were removed. Then absolutely adjust the compression on the springs.
Been a while, but it seems the disc for a Bush Hog were like $20 each. They need to check with the dealer. They should have the components in stock.
