ruined tire

I had a front tire on a B1700 go flat and before I noticed it the sidewall was damaged. I plan to buy a new Carlisle 6-12 to replace it. Do I need to replace both front tires as the tread is fairly worn down on the tires?

Might as well buy 2 and change it. Most likely the one that lost its air is dry-rotted, so the other one will fail soon also.

Last year neighbour's rider ,front right goes flat (well it is BALD ) , I said buy 2...being cheap,only bought one... this week left goes flat (balder than a slick...). Today they're not on sale..he could have had TWO last years for the current price AND saved a 20 mile trip,gas, time and me saying 'I told you so'.

Some refer to that as "stupid tax"! You pay enough of it and you get smarter.

he just wants the poles I say 'all or nothing' .Obviously that means take the roof and end panels.....

Hum. Seems like he turned your little shed into junk and left most of there? If he wasn’t a good neighbor, I’d probably stop wasting my time with him.

I just might take a Looooong time to find the parts "necessary" to fix his mower?

I would have dropped the rest of the parts on his front lawn in the middle of the night. If he asked about them, just tell him you were helping him get the rest that he left behind. Besides you are getting too old to be working on other people lawn mowers.

I would tell him to return the poles…or a complaint to LEO will be made that they have been taken without permission, are missing, and where I suspect they might be.

Future work on his machinery would likely result in accusations against me…. so I’d dismiss him as a customer.

Thanks for all the replies! I figured that replacing both tires was the best option. I was concerned about the front drive train not liking the difference in tread height. Heard many horror stories of front axel problems. I'll pay forward and avoid the "stupid tax"
