I wanted to post results and details of my RTV-XG850 lift job. I like the machine, but ground clearance was lacking. I could bottom on two-track roads and was disappointed in that. I also couldn't stomach buying a Ranger, so I finally tried to get this Sidekick to be more useful. Haven't hit the woods for hunting season, but first look is promising.

The job:
Demon Powersports Bracket Lift Kit (PABL-31001HD)
2 sets of 2" wheel spacers (PAWS-1034)
Sunf 28x10-12 tires on the Kubota OEM wheels (installer said they were a challenge to install)

I think the clearance looks great and is much improved. No rubbing at full steering lock, although I haven't jounced it hard at full lock. I think the wheel spacers stabilize the higher machine in turns. Pics attached.

Any loss of power with the 28" tires? I planned to install 27" Tusk Terrabytes and I just installed that same DemonSports lift kit. I now might go with the 28".

The 28s definitely cost a bit of torque, but in my use, not practically a problem. Uphills I always run in Low, make 20+ mph running most of the time, down to about 15 mph on the real steeps with 500 lbs in the back. But the spacers and lift give this machine great ability to crawl through crap. I high centered it today twice deep in the weeds, but I can't imagine an older Ranger making that journey. I love the wider stance of the spacers.
