Bought this used 2014 RTV-X900 from a dealer that has 300 hours and started the other morning and stepped on the accelerator and nothing, no rev, just idle. Not sure what’s up but first thought the cable broke but after removing floor and looking I’m starting to think something may have just slipped. I’ve posted 2 pictures of both ends of cable. Any suggestions/thoughts will be appreciated. What little I’ve read I think adjusting these things may be a delicate procedure.

Does stepping on the throttle move the cable?
If it does then you have another issue.

Take hold of the cable at the injection pump and pull on it. I would bet you can pull out a section of it from the sheath.

Well yesterday evening I was able to get the RTV to move using the gas pedal but had to floor it and it would do 2 mph max. I think that would tell me the cable is not broke. Last week I couldn't get it to move at all. Do not see anything in the owners manual about cable adjustments. Seems to be a lot of cable bunched up under the gas pedal. If it's not the cable not sure what else it could be. Working with the Dealer trying to workout an arrangement to resolve the issue and I am confident they will make it good but would like to understand what is causing this.
