2015 RTV-X1100C, Battery good, connections good- Aftermarket starter 4yrs. old. Starts fine when temp. is over 32*, but below that starter just clicks. But sometimes if you move the machine , then it may start ok? Does anybody have a idea, really don't want to through the pain of changing the starter again.

Sounds like a Stuck SOLENOID!

CHEAP/QUICK (if temporary) FIX: SPRAY WD40 into the solenoid and actuator-arm. It’ll work immediately.

Long term fix: Remove the solenoid and lubricate the electro-plunger and actuator arm linkage with low-temp / moly/ or synthetic grease or gun-oil.

That is a very common complaint, the starter is not sealed tightly and has moisture in it that is freezing.
Remove, disassemble the starter, clean, lubricate, reseal, and reinstall it. Make sure you put a bead of RTV on the end of the starter where it contacts the flywheel housing; this is very important.

This starter is very simple to R&R.
