I just bought an RTV 900. The last owner had taken off the fuel injectors to do a compression test and now I am trying to reinstall them but having difficulty knowing the proper sequence. Please let me know if this is correct.

Place washer on bottom of injector along with metal cupped piece(not sure the name). Screw in injector. Place washer on top of injector. Not sure the name of it but place brass ring attached to hoses on next. The screw down nut. Then screw on fuel line.

Attached is a picture of what my injector looks like but I do not have any black nuts for the top which I think is throwing me off. I just think there missing? Also the black piece they show in the picture under the black nut is that the same at the grass brass ring with hoses that I have already installed by chance and they just show an illustration in the picture? Also, can someone explain what that piece does, it is throwing me off on what it actually does, I do not see any holes in the brass ring itself.

Thanks for the help.

First let me help you out with one little detail, saying you have a RTV900 is like saying you have a car.
You need to find out exactly which model and serial # you have, as there is 21 models with many splits in serial #'s, as of this date and they all have different options and parts. ;)

Now to maybe help you out a little here is a better picture of the injectors assembled.

The fitting with the lines on the top under the nut is the injector overflow, it sends overage of fuel back to the tank.

Also it would be in your best interest to get the WSM for it to help with future repairs and maintenance. :D

If it's still not clear post a picture of your parts and we can help sort it out.

That is exactly the picture I needed. I am missing the top nuts that hold down the overflow. Thanks so much!

If the picture you posted is yours, there is the nut, it's just holding on the shipping ring that you remove and discard that will be replaced with the overflow ring. ;)
