RTV 500 starting problems

I have a 2009 RTV 500 with 460 hours on it. In the last month it will start and run good. If you shut it off and try to restart, it will fire once on each cylinder then stop like it ran out of gas. If you try to restart, it will just crank over and not start and you do not hear fuel pump come on. I put it in garage over night tried next morning turn key to run hear fuel pump come on and it will start and run fine. Use unit for a while start and stopping ok then back to no start. It may be fuel pump but before I get into it just wondering if any one has had this problem and what the fix is.

Id first check your electrical connections to the fuel pump. If theyre good, it might be an intermittent pump that needs to be replaced.

Sound like the pump gets hot and stops working...but...before you throw money at a problem I gotta ask.

Have you checked the fuel flow from the tank to the pump?
When was the last time you change the fuel filter?
Have you checked the fuel flow from the pump to the engine?
Is there anything floating in the fuel tank?

You have 460 hours on a 17 year old RTV, that's about 17 hrs. / yr.
I'd check for water in the fuel, algae in the tank, and clogged filter first.
Then start throwing money.
