Changing oil to synthetic....
Rotella specs meet CJ-4 CJ4+ CI-4 CH-4 CG-4/M

My Work Shop Manual says use CF CF4 CG-4 CI-4
Then it says CJ-4 engine oil is for DPF type engines and cannot be used in this tractor(B2620)

My question is the CI-4 appears in both specs so can I use it or should I return it.

I see no reason not to use it. It's what I run.

Strange...all oils dino and synthetic at two parts stores all have the CJ-4 rating.
Looked at the Kubota dino that I received from the dealer and guess what? A CJ-4 spec. Front end back-end guessing which way to go!

I run that in all three of my diesel trucks, in my gasoline vehicle engines and will run it in my Kubota tractor (L2950) and Ford 555 Backhoe when their next changes come due...

The WSM was wrong or had been superseded by specs on the Kubota web site. Changed all my fluids at 190 hours. Rotella T6 oil and Super UT2 transmission fluid.
Engine seems smoother on start up and have not worked the hydraulics yet...today when it quits snowing. I was told by dealer that the factory fluid was sutd2. may not notice a difference there.
